Advanced Pipeline Plough (APP) has recently undergone an extensive 6 month refurbishment and upgrade programme.

The (APP) provides trenching and burial of rigid and flexible pipelines up to 2.5m deep in water depths up to 1000m.

The plough was designed to be configured either as the Advanced Pipeline Plough or as the Advanced Cable Plough (ACP) and to be towed at a force of up to 250Te. It has successfully completed over 1000km of pipeline trenching.

Most soil types can be successfully ploughed with the APP and enhanced performance is gained through use of an additional forecutter. Stability and sinkage in soft soils (<10kPa) is controlled by the large adjustable front skids. Backfill cover can be provided with an additional pass with the Backfill Plough.
