Qualifications & Experience
Degree qualified in geotechnical or offshore engineering, with related experience in offshore industry. Special consideration will also be given to PhD students or other research staff bringing relevant skills and experience.

Person Spec
Demonstrating good communication skills (verbal and written), you will be able to prioritise workloads, multi-task manage and remain focused under pressure.

Role Description
Reporting to the Senior Geotechnical Engineer, to provide innovative solutions to geotechnical problems, delivering optimum solutions for project support and R&D activities in accordance with financial, Client and Company requirements.

Principal Responsibilities

• Perform trenching burial assessments and other geotechnical analysis pertaining to the Company’s business
• Supervise trenching studies carried out by other engineers
• Subcontract out geotechnical analysis work as required, keeping the requisite focus on costs
• Implement and maintain database of CTC trenching performance
• Run continuous back analysis program of trenching tool performance to improve tender accuracy and provide practical feedback to tool operators
• Participate in R&D program to improve trenching performance models
• Support tendering activities including generation of schedules, method statements and technical qualifications
• Support other engineering functions as required.
