PROJECT ENGINEER(s)


LOCATION: DARLINGTON

Qualifications & Experience
Degree qualified in mechanical, structural, offshore engineering or naval architecture, competent Microsoft Project & Office Suite user, autocad experience preferable but not essential, with relative post grad experience, preferably with an offshore contractor.

Person Spec
Flexible, proactive and effective team player, demonstrating good communication skills (verbal and written), you will be able to prioritise workloads, multi-task manage and remain focused under pressure.

Role Description
Reporting to the Engineering Manager/Snr Project Engineer to provide technical expertise, particularly, but not exclusively, relating to marine equipment, vessels and operations ensuring work completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with Client and Company requirements. Responsibilities include:

  • Preparation of project specific installation procedures
  • Design and engineering of special or modified equipment
  • Design of deck spreads for specialist operations
  • Execute/supervise/co-ordinate installation analysis
  • Feasibility evaluation of planned operations including participation in HAZID/HAZOP.
  • Preparation/participation capability presentations to clients and staff
  • Preparation/collation of project as-built documentation
  • Preparation of project plans and schedules, and progress reporting
  • Preparation of state of the art specifications for equipment, providing technical assistance to the Project Manager during the design phase.
  • Technical supervision of fabrication, testing, shipping, mobilization and sea-trials of equipment
