The Maersk Recorder is a high bollard pull cable installation
vessel with capacity for 5,200t of fibre optic cable in two
main tanks plus an additional 1,800t in two ancillary tanks.

The vessel has the capability to install to full ocean depth
and to bury product in a trench of up to 3 metres, utilising
the MD3 Cable Plough.

An active heave compensated crane is available for the
placement of frames or nodes on the seabed.

The vessel has an endurance of some 70 days and has
the significant advantage of being able to burn the more
economical IFO fuel oil. The engines can also use MDO
when required or necessary.
