CTC announces launch of new Telecommunications Group

CTC Marine Projects Ltd (a DeepOcean ASA subsidiary) has announced the launch of a separate Group that will focus on developing business activities in the submarine telecommunications market.

As the market leader in subsea trenching, CTC already has a strong track record in telecoms, having previously undertaken significant trenching and installation projects for an industry leading client base.

One of the foremost marine figures in the submarine telecoms market has joined CTC to manage this Group. Paul Woodward joins the company from Alcatel-Lucent and will lead the team from CTC’s newly established London office. Another key appointment will be announced within the next few weeks.

The new Group will commence operations on 3rd September 2007.
